Short version: OpenOryksa is open-source software released under the MIT License. You're free to use, modify, and distribute it. You run it on your own server โ you're responsible for how you use it.

2. Self-hosted: you are the operator
OpenOryksa runs entirely on infrastructure you control. This means:
- You are responsible for the security and availability of your installation
- You are responsible for complying with applicable laws in your jurisdiction
- You are responsible for the conduct of agents you create and deploy
- You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the terms of connected platforms (WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.)
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use OpenOryksa to:
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or automated bulk communications without recipient consent
- Violate the terms of service of any messaging platform you connect
- Impersonate individuals or organizations without authorization
- Engage in illegal activity under applicable law
- Harass, threaten, or harm individuals
Violation of these terms may result in removal from the community, reporting to relevant platforms, or other appropriate action.
4. Third-party platforms
OpenOryksa integrates with third-party messaging platforms and AI providers. You are solely responsible for complying with their respective terms of service. Notable restrictions include:
- WhatsApp: Personal number usage for business automation may violate Meta's terms. Use an official Business account where required.
- Telegram: Bot API usage must comply with Telegram's Bot Terms.
- AI providers: Usage must comply with your chosen provider's usage policies and applicable content restrictions.
5. No warranty
OpenOryksa is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. The maintainers make no guarantees about uptime, fitness for a particular purpose, or absence of bugs. Use in production is at your own risk.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the OpenOryksa maintainers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the software or this website, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. The openoryksa.org website
Access to openoryksa.org is provided for informational purposes. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the website at any time without notice. Content is provided without warranty of accuracy or completeness.
8. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect any changes. Continued use of the software after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
