Short version: OpenOryksa is self-hosted software. It runs entirely on your own server. We don't have access to your data, your users' data, or your conversations — ever.
OpenOryksa is an open-source, self-hosted platform that lets you run AI agents on your own VPS. When you install OpenOryksa, all software runs on infrastructure you control. There is no central server operated by the project maintainers that processes your data.
None. The OpenOryksa software does not collect, transmit, or store any usage data, telemetry, analytics, or crash reports. There is no phone-home mechanism.
All data generated by your OpenOryksa instance — agent configurations, conversation logs, API keys, channel credentials — is stored exclusively on your VPS. You are the sole operator and controller of that data.
As the operator, you are responsible for:
OpenOryksa connects to AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) using API keys you supply. Messages are sent directly from your server to those providers. Each provider's own privacy policy applies to those requests. OpenOryksa maintainers have no visibility into those interactions.
When you connect channels like WhatsApp or Telegram, your server communicates directly with those platforms. Their respective terms of service and privacy policies apply. OpenOryksa maintainers do not intermediate those connections.
The openoryksa.org website is hosted on a VPS. It does not use cookies, analytics scripts, or tracking of any kind. The only server log entries are standard nginx access logs (IP, timestamp, path) stored on the hosting server and not shared with third parties.
The optional "Notify me" email form on the landing page, if submitted, stores only the email address you provide for the purpose of product launch notifications. You can request removal at any time by emailing [email protected].
OpenOryksa is developer-focused software not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Significant changes will be noted in the GitHub repository changelog.
